Okay so in February I'm going to be looking into FINALLY getting my first HD tv.
I don't know really what I'm doing so I thought I'd ask the fine people in here what their thoughts are. Here's a few things I was thinking of and you can tell me whether it's stupid or not or whatever. 1. I would like to have at least TWO HDMI ports. One for my computer and one for my PS3. 2. I don't know whether or not I should get a standalone TV set or a large HD Monitor that can double as my TV and my computer? Currently I have a 22.1" widescreen HD Sceptre that has a HDMI port. I don't know the resolution or anything like that. Was debating on whether to get a large HD TV and have the PS3 hooked up to that and leave my computer connected to my Sceptre, or just upgrade to a large HD Widescreen Monitor that would double. That would put to use both the HDMI ports if the TV/Monitor would come with those. Thanks everyone! ![]() Edit: Also I'm looking at a price range of about a grand. I'd like to go as much under a grand as I can, but yeah.... Also I have no stereo setup at all. The Setup with the receiver and all that isn't really that important to me to be honest. I'll get a home stereo and connect everything. I'm not an audiofreq so as I said....I don't need it to sound immaculate, I just want a really good display for my games/blu rays/tv. |

You will find pro's and con's (or what people say are pro's and con's) to each kind of TV. Two tings to consider are what you are going to use it for: gaming or movies etc and how much you want to spend. As has already been said, a lot of this is about personal preference. ![]() |

This is the best deal you'll probably find on a 1080p Samsung LCD tv online, and it has free shipping.
It has 3 HDMI inputs and has a VGA connection for your computer so you can double it as a monitor. |
