Default sound advice for bedroom

hi, i currently have a 32" Sony full hd tv and a ps3, collecting blu rays like crazy, im actually addicted like many of you here, im going to be buying some sort of speakers/receiver, bear in mid this is for a bedroom, im a special fx/3d animation student. I was thinking of a budget of about £350. So i guess thats like $700.

Any help would be great, i'd also like to be able to hook my pc up to receiver to get some cool sound from it aswell.

thanks

Onkyo 606 ($350)
Polk RM705 ($350)

Where do you live? If you live in the US, you can get the 606 for $320 shipped and the RM6750 for $199 plus shipping. That's a lot less than $350 each.

i live in the uk, thanks for the help btw.

the Onkyo 606 here is £350-£400, so about £800
and the polk rm705 is £500

We get shafted with prices in the uk. The 606 will decode most audio codecs, because ive seen a lot of recommendations for this decoder.
