Default PS3 DVD playback question.

Ok so I've had my PS3 since August or so and have had no real issues. However last night I popped in The Waterboy which is a widescreen DVD. The problem is for some reason it played in a 4:3 format & not a 16:9 widescreen format which it should of. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks.

Weird thing is, is that I've played some of my other DVD's and they played in widescreen like they were supposed to.

Just checking my settings again....should I set the BD/DVD upscaler to 'Full Screen'?....then again why should I have to do this. The Waterboy is a widescreen DVD.

The Waterboy is not enhanced for 16x9 TV's, thus you get the 4x3 format. I usually use the zoom feature on my HDTV to get a non 16x9 dvd to fill my screen.
