Default Blu-rays with Digital Copy

Does anyone know if there is a comprehensive list somewhere on the internet showing which Blu-rays include a digital copy?

If you search Movies, you can check DC and it gives a list of all Blu's that come with DC.

Unfortunately the PSP is a dying device. It can not compete with the other devices out there - iTouch/iPhone and the like. I love my PSP, however I have not touched it in months. It's got a layer of dust all over it.

The Apple products are just much more convenient - itunes, movies, music, pictures - plug it in and go. No UMD or re-encoding necessary.

Here's the link from using the Movie search (with digital copy feature selected):

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/searc...&action=search

and here is the movie search link if you want to narrow it down:

For some reason i completely disagree with you.

I have a PSP and iPhone and use my PSP every day to watch films and play games.

The iPhone needs just as much re-encoding when watching movies as a PSP (obviously not pre-made versions).

I've just got the Matrix box set and went to put my digital copy on my PSP, low and behold it wouldn't do it! iTunes only, so i go and try and put it on my iPhone, low and behold it wouldn't do it! USA and Canada only.

So i had to boot up parallels and stick it on my Windows partition. What a pain in the ass.

Digital copies should work with all portable movie devices IMO.

Yeah, this is a huge pain in the buttocks and a very touchy topic for me.

On one hand, as a consumer, I want this to work as advertised to me as a PSP owner. It would be great if there were no DRM restrictions and I could re-encode those files to a format that worked with the PSP.

On the other hand, I understand the studio's point of view. They don't want people having access to their movies just willy nilly. One person would upload the file and everybody else in the world would have it.

It would just be nice if the PS3 and the PSP supported "Play For Sure". I'll write more when I'm not in a hurry to get out the door for lunch.

I love digital copies. I even saw a whole rack of DVD's at Wal-Mart yesterday that were re-printed with digital copies. They weren't new movies either. Stuff like X2, etc. They were in thinner cases than the standard DVD case and had slip covers on them bragging about the fact that digital copies were included.

Tell me again why you are upset that a US digital copy won't work in the UK?

This is the same kind of ignorant response that makes studios charge 29.99 for movies with digital copies. Yes other ones cost similar without digital copies. But, if I wanted a digital copy I wouldn't buy the blu ray version. I buy the blu ray so I can watch it on my home theatre not on some stupid cpu screen.

Well if the BD is region free shouldn't the DC be as well? I think so.

I did get it to work but only via Windows XP, so my point was being tied to iTunes is a pain in the ass, for us importers at least.

I'm not ignorant. I have an iPod and I like watching movies on it. So sue me, jackass. I've ripped plenty of DVD's, but last I checked I don't have a Blu-ray drive and can't rip the films to my computer. And I've got news for you. The studios are charging ridiculous prices for Blu-rays WITHOUT the damn digital copies. Go to your local Best Buy, Target, or Wal-Mart and you'll see movies that are several years old with $30 price tags. Pirates of the Caribbean is a pretty good example of that. The studios are going to rip off the consumer regardless. You think Universal was going to charge less for a non-Digital Copy version of the Incredible Hulk on Blu-ray? Not a chance in hell. Digital Copy is just the studios accepting that people want portable versions of their movies. You can ***** about it all you want, but there's plenty of evidence that the Digital Copy doesn't impact the price at all. They're going to screw us over regardless.
