Default Sub and Tile Floor

OK guys need some suggestions as far as my subwoofer being on tile floor.

Right now all it has is some plastic screw in risers that it sits on. It's a 15" Definitive Technology sub (can't remember the model off the top of my head).

Anyways with the tile floor should I have something below the sub? Like a Auralex Subdude or stand?

I'd like to hear your opinions! thanks in advance (again)!

If you want to spend money for better sub performance, see this.

Yeah I don't think I'll be able to afford something like that.
At least not right now.

I'll just try getting a small rug or piece of carpet unless anyone else has any other ideas.

Default Sub

I have two of these from Auralex in my theater and they work great, and only cost about $50 bucks.

Ok so I tried a cheaper rug (like a bathroom rug) under the sub and it helps a bit with stabilizing the sub and taking a little bit of the rattle away.

Does anyone else have experience with the Auralex Subdude? Will help anymore to invest $50 into one of them?

Also my sub is 18" x 15". The subdude is 15" x 15". Do I need 2 if I end up going with one?

I just tried something "Strange" with my subwoofer...... I'm still in the process of tracking down little rattles etc.... (having the bathroom off the theater room is nice, but now I find the pipes/mirror, etc had to be "dealt with" but it's taken care of now)

Anyways.... I took a piece of astro-turf (yes.... Astro-turf!) and put it under my sub..... it's a solid 1" thick of rubber (and fake grass ) so it helps add a barrier between the carpet, and wood floor underneath.

So far, so good.

Sounds good I would just like trying different ideas see which works the best for the room.

I know I'll never get rid of all the rattles and I still need to make sure I don't have any baseboards loose, etc. after remodeling the room.

Not sure what 15" Def Tech sub you have, but my 14" reference series will over-power my entire system if I don't adjust and place it accordingly.

If you're experiencing that.... maybe just "Tame" the sub a little..... many people think "More" is always better..... but I'm not in that camp.
