Alias would look so good on blu-ray. I can't wait until it's out. I wonder will they release one season at a time or maybe a series pack.

With all my current BD buying, I haven't been able to justify affording the $150-$200 for the Rambaldi Box DVDs. So I fear what a BD version would set me back. I've always wanted the complete series, but financially I may settle on the DVD…someday.

I hope it's true as well, although if they start there, they better finish it and release the rest of the seasons. This is my favorite show of all time along with Chuck, so I would buy them on Blu-ray in a heartbeat.

However, when it was on the air, Alias was known as "the worst looking show in HD". The cinematography supposedly had a lot of lighting issues and while resolution is obviously better, from my understanding the HD versions looked "worse" in some cases because of issues with how it was filmed (by cinematographers who were filming like it was in SD). Now, I can't confirm that for myself as I never saw it in HD during it's initial run, but I do remember it being very notorious at the time (especially during the last two seasons when the show tone became overall darker, visually and conceptually). All that said, I love Alias and would likely pick it up on Blu if not ridiculously overpriced. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD but would buy the whole thing for completion sake when/if they became available. My guess is we may see a release if the reboot is picked up. |

I would certainly buy it - but I'm not sure that they'd see the value in getting it released. As great as the series was, it never reached blockbuster status, and you'll find the studio weighing how many people have already purchased the series on DVD against how many would upgrade or buy for the first time on blu-ray.

I want this show on Blu so badly! It is my all-time favorite show, especially seasons 1 and 2! It was so underrated and then they ruined season 4 by dumbing it down to try to get new viewers. The DVDs look bad on my 52" tv so a blu-ray set is definitely needed
