Default Spider-Man Blu Ray Tracking / Progress Bar Icon

If anyone knows the answer to this I would greatly appreciate it!!
I own the Spider-Man Trilogy set and when I fast forward or rewind through the movie, there is a tracking / progress bar that populates at the bottom of the picture screen. This icon is not coming from the Samsung BD-P 1500 Blu Ray player because I disabled the on screen messages in the set up menu. I have e-mailed customer care at Sony and they have no resolution to fix this problem. I have also updated the firmware in the player. The only way it disappears is when I hit pause on the remote and after two seconds it disappears and then I press play and it is gone. I don't understand why it doesn't disappear without having to pause the movie. I hope someone has an answer.

Thanks

So it stays there throughout the whole movie, or just when you're fast-forwarding and rewinding? If just in ff/rw... it's supposed to be there.

It's a java thing, and it's part and parcel with the disc. Have you tried another movie that has that kind of status bar?

Thanks for the replies!! If I ff/ rw, it stays on the screen unless I press pause followed by pressing play. I have not noticed it on any other movie that I have. I know that the Incredible Hulk had a stupid bonus view icon which I was able to get rid of by disabling the messages from the Blu Ray player.
What an annoyance this is!! Anyway, I appreciate the help! Hopefully, there is a fix for this from Sony. One would think they would fix these problems before releasing the movies. I wonder if this happens on other Blu Ray players from other manufacturers?
