How does someone go about selling an HDTV, how much can you get for a used one? It has 1 dead pixel as far as I can tell, I could care less since it is impossible to see 1 pixel -but maybe that detracts from it's value?

How can you tell if there's a dead pixel? I have a 32" 1080p Sharp Aquos. What kind is yours?

I have 1 red dot on the picture, it's 720p and if the screen is all white for example you can see it. But it really hurts your eyes to look that close, so it's no big deal.

Well, 30 inch+ 780p TVs will most likely be phased out over the next few years as 1080p becomes more recognizable, and becomes cheaper to make. If its in good condition other than the pixel, and isn't too old (3 to 4+ years), I'd say ask $200 to $300 for it (considering the economy, I think if you get any offer over $250 you may want to take it). |

More than 300 bucks, that's for sure. I am just weary of ebay and craigslist, I have never used them before, and I don't want to have to deal with crazy people. The TV is less than a year old, how much cheaper than the current list price is a good rule of thumb to sell for? Buying a TV this nice for 300 bucks is insane, it could have had this dead pixel right out of the box for all I know, and you can't even see it.

Craigslist is good because it is free, but be careful--everyone will try to low-ball you. Have a set price you will not go under and be firm...these people will try their hardest to get a steal ![]() |
