direct to dvd, which says alot about it's possibilities, deff a flop imo, looks silly to me, cant imagine Ace Ventura with out Jim Carrey, it will be another dumb and dumberer.

I only found out about this movie yesterday on Wiki. I don't see any point of this movie being released in the first place. It doesn't even have Ventura Sr. in it.

I guess this take's out the possibility of ever seeing another Ave Ventura with Jim Carrey.. That sucks.. always kinda wanted to see him with that hairdo again lol.. I could see it making good money if they did another with Jim.

i saw when it was on tv its stupid and not as good as the ones with jim carrey i hope the jim carreys ace ventures come out to blu ray

When will the studios realize that sequels to Jim Carrey movies are a bad idea? He doesn't want to do them, because he doesn't see them as challenging, so drop it. As much as I'd like to see a proper "Mask 2", it doesn't look like it will be happening, so they need to let this garbage go.

Well Jim Carrey was in the sequel to Ace Ventura known as When Nature Calls. But of course that movie had potential to be funny if Jim Carrey returned. It's almost like Jim Carrey knew that Ace Ventura Jr., Dumb and Dumberer, and Son of the Mask would suck before it even became available.

There's also the Ace Ventura animated series most people forget about from the mid 1990s. But of course Jim Carrey wasn't in that either.

Carrey held out on Evan Almighty too, which went on to lose money (but mostly because its budget was so bloated).

True, and a PC adventure game styled the same as the TV series. The guy who did the voice for Ace in those (internet research tells me it was Michael Daingerfield) did a pretty good job of it, though.

Well, I think Jim once said that doing the second "Ace" is what put him off sequels to begin with. He doesn't like just repeating a role for the sake of it.
