Default Manilow ends the format war...

That's it - how can Blu-Ray compete when HD-DVD has this?

http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/barrymanilow_live.html

We're done...

It did not even get that good of a review, normally those concert ones get pretty good reviews.

Now now. Both Manilow and Diamond each has far bigger fanbase than both HD-DVD and BD combined!

It's only fair they get a block buster. We had Casino Royale so don't begrudge them Manilow. They had better hurry up and stop that HD-DVD graph heading South - it's so far South it's about to hit Oz and we all know what comes after that - the South pole and there are enough problems down there without adding another.

Fuad is actually quite correct. It may be titles like these that could help pull the casual viewer in. Think about it. Older crowd, definitely more expendable income. Who wouldn't want to see Streisand's schnoz in HD?

I would agree, but.....I only know 2 couples over the age of 40 that have a HDTV, or even know what hd-dvd is. now if there were some bob dylan releases I would be scared, i'm 23 and I even love him. I think 99% of barry manilow's audience rides their senior tour buses to see him live often enough to not need this hd-dvd release.

The older crowd you are referring to might be looking for this product...on Betamax.

You think that a few Music DVD's is going to make Blu-ray lose the format war? We have so many more titles, and gigs than HD DVD.

of course I think that. I may hold out for a milley vanilley hd-dvd before I turn tail and run. or a vanilla ice disc maybe. because no one is ever sarcastic on these threads. I'll have to start burning my blu-rays to stay warm.

and that sunbeds comment, f$@%ing hilarious.

We're done...

If any concert has to do with it, it would've been the Eagles live in Melbourne concert released a few months ago, but so far, not much noise was generated with that.....

Oh and don't forget, we have Tony Bennet on Blue Ray.

Besides, I would love to see Barbra Streisand on Blue Ray!

I would really love to see Barbra Streisand on Blu-ray. I bet she'll look gorgeous on that.
