David Gilmour Live in Gdańsk not on BD. - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone seen the DVD release of Live in Gdansk? How does it compare with Remember the Night. The playlist appears the same. Thank you.

I was a little disappointed they didn't release a Blu-ray of this but I guess the market isn't big enough to support multiple Gilmour BD releases yet. I got the cd edition and frankly I am happy with that. Personally I liked Remember That Night better than Gdansk anyway.

I have both the Remember That Night Blu Ray and the Live at Gdansk deluxe edition 5 disc set.

They are both from the On An Island Tour which is why the set list is similar (but there are a few differences.) With the Live at Gdansk concert they had a full orchestra along with the band.

I would buy Live At Gdansk on Blu but I don't think it's going to happen. Already there were 5 different packages for the LAG set.

Anyway... maybe I didn't answer your question... The 2 are somewhat comparable. Some of the extra on the RTN Blu Ray show up on the LAG set (but in Standard Def of course.)

If you liked one you may like the other... or maybe 1 is enough of that material for the David Gilmour fan that isn't a "complete-ist."

I will probably get Live in Gdansk if it is released on BD for the last show of Richard Wright.

I have the BD David Gilmour: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, in addition to the 180-gram Vinyl version of David Gilmour: Live In Gdansk and I love both of them. I would have loved a vinyl copy of the RAH concert, but as far as I know one was never released. So I can sympathize with those who want a BD of the LIG concert. For the record, I'd buy both as I'm a huge DG and PF fan.

I would have bought either one regardless, especially given they are the last live recordings of Richard Wright.
