Default Boy In The Striped Pajamas

One of the most powerful films I have seen all year, I was on the verge of crying.

A link to a trailer would have been appreciated.
I hate sad movies, they make me sad, but somehow I must see them

on the field of sad movies, how would you rate it compared to "El Laberinto del Fauno" (Pan's Labyrinth) ?

agreed, i don't think pan's labyrinth classifies as a depressing/sad movie. something like requiem for a dream or Schindler's list comes to mind.

I can't wait for the day requiem comes out on blu!! I love the movie even if it is horribly depressing.

I did not think Pans Labyrinth was sad at all

I did not expect the ending at all, I thought
[Show spoiler]A nazi guard would have seen Bruno dressed in the inmate clothes and thought he was a Jew escaping and would have shot him

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas: A innocent and sad look at a hard reality from the view point of children. Excellent film with a ending that will stay with me for a good while.

It started its US limited release Nov 7th and has been expanding now for the last few weeks. It just hit my local Indy theater this week.

I've heard Sophie's Choice is a hard one to watch too. I hate tearjerkers! They make me look like a girly man in front of my wife!

I finally got a chance to see this movie tonight and I must say its a very powerful film when the screen fades to black before the end credits roll, you will be left speechless.
A very well made movie.Highly recommended.

Miramax get this out on Blu ASAP...

Completely agree. It is an incredible movie that has stuck with me since I saw it at the beginning of the year. Yes, it is manipulative, but it is extremely effective.
