PS3 won't play Blu-ray movies???

deepcdiver New Member Member since:Nov 2008	PS3 won't play Blu-ray movies??? I was in my home town in Vt. recently and noticed they have started stocking SOME movies on blu-ray at the video rental store. As I had just purchased a 1080P LCD screen for my parents house I was interested. I talking to them they mentioned they had a lot of returns from ppl w/ ps3's sayoi ng they would not playback on the PS3. I assume ppl were trying to scam refunds o their blu-ray movie rentals, the discs were definitely Blu-ray. Or maybe ppl had PS2's. I am considering getting a sale Samsung BD1500 vs. an eBay PS3...so want be certain the PS3 has no issues at all with rental BD movies.... Anyone heard of this????
