Canada Dark Knight FSHOP - concerns about loose/scratched discs

I have buy Iron Man steelbook at the futureshop. The disc cames out of the holding things....during coming back to home. Fortunately, the disc didn't scratch...

So you guys don't afraid and pre-order already ? The discs will be ship by mail...so maybe it could happen no ?

I think he's saying that if we are concerned that I disc might be loose during shipping and scratch, since it happened to him.

If you hear your disc rattling around in the case, don't remove the packaging. Just return it, because it will most likely have scratches. That has been my experience with DVDs; I have never had BDs shipped yet.

Blu-rays have a hard anti-scratch coating that prevent most scratches. Most of my 500+ Blu-rays have been bought online, and I've yet to see a single scratch.

I have almost 100, I've gotten maybe 10-15 in that have come off the clip, and not one has ever been scratched. They are indeed much tougher than dvds.

I buy most of my blu-rays from online retailers and occasionally receive the odd 'floater' but I have never had a problem playing them because of a few scratches.

Wow...took me a couple re-reads to understand what the OP wrote.

You put your right hand in, you put your right hand out. You put your right hand in and shake it all around...thats what its all about.

There's no worries about the BD discs being loose as they have all come with an anti scratch layer that is hard to scratch.

Tropic Thunder on DVD has a massive issue with loose discs.

There was no damage to the disc.

For those that pre-ordered, are you afraid that the disc might arrive as a floater?

There is a possibility that you may receive a floater in the mail.

Welcome to the board Bond22.

Nice translation from Fringlish.

Thread title revised.
