Default just bought Sony S550

i recently just purchased a sony S550 blu ray player.. i was wondering if i need to upgrade my firmwire or is it already updated, and how would i do that if needed.. the sales rep at bb stated that it updates on its own which really made no sense to me but what do i know.. can somebody help me with this issue..

If you have it connected to the internet, it will check for updates on its own.

AFAIK, there haven't been any firmware updates.

You plug your Ethernet cable from your MODEM/ROUTER to your 550 !

Welcome and great buy.

Now you will have to spend your life savings purchasing all the Blus you must have. You'll say "no I won't" but it eats at you once you have seen a few Blus. I'll just get one more, you'll say. Then you think of another movie that now is a must have. And on it goes until you look back at your collection and realize you have spend 1,000's of dollars.

You wife or husband has discovered what you have done and you are now divorced. Your life is destroyed just because one Blu-ray player.
