"Has [insert movie] been Released on Bluray?" Threads - Blu-ray Forum

It seems we are getting quite a lot of threads in the Bluray releases section that just say, "has this movie been released yet?" I don't know about anyone else but I feel the section should be reserved for discussing releases, features, official announcements, etc and not just posting threads just asking if a certain movie has been announced yet. In addition, I've seen a lot of these threads that people simply title "insert movie name" and then in the thread ask if it's been announced. The misleading title gets me excited because I think it has been announced.

When something is announced, someone does generally post it in the forum (and if people are curious as to a specific movie's release they can use the search) or it's listed on Bluray.com's main page (or on other bluray websites).

Just my opinion, if no one else feels this way then no problem.

well me and you know, but alot of people aren't forum savy so they just ask rather than search. Its totally unavoidable and I am sure is being managed by the mods there.

Funny thing is we can post stickies, announcements, and/or flashing lights and there and people still click that

perfect suggestion. i know there is a list of forum rules/FAQs/etc for new members (and can be accessed at any time in the User CP), but I wish there was a page listing some basic info that members were shown before they registered that included some startup tips/reminders including your suggestion. would make things a whole lot easier.......oh well
