Help / advice needed projector/hdmi issue

Just brought a new Panasonic AE3000 projector which came with a free 15m Bosscom HDMI (1080p spec) lead.

Ive set it up but ive had some issues with the picture flickering and what i can only describe as a snowy effect on the screen, do you think its an issue with the projector or the HDMI lead, or maybe ive set something up wrong but i doubt it.

Once or twice ive turned it on and its been alright, then i'll switch inputs i.e. bluray to xbox 360 and it'll start again.

this is most common on poor signal transfer, such as over a long distance, loose connection or just crummy cables.

How long are they?

the cable is 15m long, so you think it is the hdmi then?

Probably about that, could maybe get away with a 10m

the "BJC Series-1 Belden Bonded-Pair" is their best cables, but the new "Tartan 24 awg" brand is less expensive and should do just as well.
