I saw more blu-ray/PS3's sold and in carts than Wii's. Heck Wii's at EVERY store I went too were pretty much untouched, taking up space on the floor or shelves. Best buy had about 40 wii's in a pile, target had 28 on the shelf and I casually asked the rep how many they sold and he said only four all day (this was 5pm tonight)

Over the past 2 days I've seen alot of BD's sold also with all the great deals out there. Heck I picked up over 20 new or recent releases for an average price of $8.84 each.

I will also add however that 360's were selling like crazy! Stores had lots of Wii's and DS's, a few PS3s and random assortments of blu-ray players, but I was very suprised to see how many people were buying 360's this year. Seems like every 3rd/4th cart I saw at Target, best buy, walmart, meijer, Circuit city had a 360 in it and none were left on the floor.

I saw more people with stand alone players than PS3 because the players were around $200 compare to $400 for the PS3

I passed by briefly by Best Buy and noticed three custoemrs purchasing standalone BD players. The Samsung 1500 were sold out, and the were giving away the Sony S350 for the $199 price (there were only five left).

Just got back from Best Buy. I saw no one purchasing PS3's or Blu-Ray players while I was there. And it looked like they had a stack of them ready to go. However, when I asked the cashier, she said the stand alones were selling well today. On the other hand, while I was in the store, LCD and Plasma's TV's were really selling well.

Also on a good note, All (3) stores I visited reported doing well today.

Went by Wal-Mart this evening to pick up some high efficiency laundry detergent for a new front loader washing machine. All the discs Wal-Mart had specials on ($15 for Iron Man, Kung Fu Panda, Transformers) were gone. Nearly all the big stack of Magnavox BD players was gone. Saw a few people in line with Blu-ray discs.

Also noticed Wal-Mart had some 160GB PS3 models (bundled with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune). Not cheap though. $499.

I was in Walmart briefly to pick up a few decorations for X-Mas.... for black friday I noticed it was no where near as busy as I thought it would be. the sales guy in the electronics dept said they sold a few PS3's but the stand alone blu ray players and bigger HDTVs were not selling... the walmart I was at is surrounded by a very low income area too though.
I did notice for the first time ever they were checking receipts at the door.

I stayed away from stores yesterday, but I did go to Blockbuster around 9 'o clock to rent Awake. The BD section was pretty much picked through, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Our BB sold out of every Panasonic bd-35 and Sony 350. They did have a over 50 Samsung 1500 left. So id say they sold over 150 players probably closer to 200 plus many PS3's

If the transition hasn't started yet well them at least the match has been lite.

Lol I don't know what you're smoking but I want it.

We had like a 100 Wiis at the Best Buy I work at and we sold out of them within 5 hours of opening at 5AM.

We sold the normal amount of Bluray players. The Insignia ones were pretty cheap and so the home theater people were pushing those over the sonys.

Transformers was 9.99 and sold out very quickly.
