Default Help with winDVD Blu-Ray Player for Vista

Hey all

I just rented the Iron man Blu-ray to test my new Viao laptop BD, unfortunately i am getting the following error message in Intervideo WinDVD though "Create Overlay Failed: Please lower your screen resolution or colour depth" now I've been doing some research and there's plenty of fixes for this in XP but none for Vista as far as I can tell. Can anyone suggest a solution for me.

Thankyou heaps.

Oh wow, I really hope so. I have a Vaio AR770 T9300 2.5Ghz. Ive had it for about 4 months, so not exactly brand new, but this is the first time I've tried to play a Blu-Ray on it.

Reset your display resolution to 1920x1080 the default resolution on the Vaio is 1920x1200 (it's probrobly freaking Windvd and HDCP out). This should solve your problem.

I had this happen twice with one of my AR laptops.
Once, a restart "cured" it.
The other time, it was because I was running on battery and it just didn't like it(adaptive wasn't powering up properly) - it failed.

Also, have you updated WinDVD from the Sony site?

Be sure to update all drivers and software from the Sony site.
