Default hdtv bought on amazon?

Has anybody ever bought a HDTV on amazon? Is it a good idea, reliable? I been looking for a 26" for my bedroom and amazon has the best price for the tv i'm interested in.

Never bought any electronics from there, but several books and movies and have had no problems. I know there's not much of a comparison between a book and a tv, but they are very reliable and would see no problem with it.

I'd trust Amazon, but they aren't the ones bringing it to you, lol. Depends on the UPS driver or FedEx driver. I know I'd never trust the guy that delivers to me with ANYTHING fragile, I have seen him throw boxes on my steps all the time, even an Aero Grow that I bought for my mom, guy threw the box on the steps and left.

Also because of it getting close to X-Mas I think they may get quite careless?

that's what I'm thinking. That UPS guy could care less if it slips of his hands. I'll wait. maybe towards x-mas there would be some nice sales.

i've bought a 52 and 40 inch from Amazon, they ship out through CEVA. "White Glove service" which means they deliver, take tv out of box, connect it to any source you pick, make sure tv is working properly, then you sign for it. Both deliveries were perfect. I highly recommend it.

P.S UPS doesn't deliver tv's for Amazon

Amazon is awesome with tv purchases ( just make sure it's sold by amazon.com, not a 3rd party seller )

buy it, no worries

I've bought 4 hdtvs on amazon and never had any problems. The only issue may be that you have to have about a 4 hour span when you will be home for shipping. Still, if there is a problem with the tv amazon will pay to have it shipped back and send a new one out.

Yep, me too. Got my 46 Bravia a few months back and the process was flawless. I would order via them again in a heartbeat.

Ordered mine (see sig) this past January from Amazon and delivery was amazing. They called me to verify a good time to drop it off, then once they got there, they brought it up (3 floors!), set it up and made sure it worked, then took the box away for me.

No TVS yet but I would trust Amazon with the delivery. My UPS driver is good too, either wrapping things tightly in plastic or putting them behind the storm door in inclement weather. The post office guy, on the other hand...

again, ups would not be the shipping company if you buy a tv off of amazon.com, white glove service delivery will ensure properly delivery and to make sure you don't get a damaged tv. Also, for any reason if your not happy with the tv within 30 days, you can call amazon, they will pick the tv up for free, and replace it, or just give a refund.

Amazon dosn't ship with ups for larger shipments. They use CEVA/Eagle for pretty much the bulk of their hdtv shipments.

Go with Amazon and have no fear about your purchase. Amazon stands behind the products they sell like no other on-line retailer. If you have a problem just call their customer service.

Exactly, I've never had any issues with Amazon either. But as previously stated make sure it's sold through Amazon and not a 3rd party, you won't regret it.
