Default Wall mounted room corner speakers

Wall mounted room corner speakers...want to keep the cost per speaker under $100. Looking for a brand/model recommendation for 4 to 6 wall mounted corner speakers for a home theatre.

Also, do speakers have to "match" up? Is it important to keep brands of subwoofers, center channel and wall speakers the same?

it's important to have your center match your front left/right.... other than that, don't worry about matching brands/models (but you probably don't want to mix ribbons/horns etc )

Okay one more question...

Rear of the room (25 feet long, rectangle shape) are 2 speakers in the upper ceiling corners

Middle of the room are 2 speakers where the wall and ceiling meet

At the front of the room do I want...

2 wall mount speakers on either side of the TV/center channel
or
2 ceiling mounted speakers in each of the front corners

I'm just wondering if the two speakers mounted on either side of the TV would overpower the other four ceiling speakers as opposed to all 6 wall speakers being mounted at ceiling level

Depending on the number of speakers you plan to use in your home theater, the setup should follow one of the diagrams below: http://www.smartbuyspeakers.com/speakersetup

For sheer audio quality sound purposes I believe Tower/Floor Standing speakers are the best.

As far as your other question...about over powering the other speakers. That is actually what you DO want. The three most important speakers in your Home Theater are the front three: Front right, Center, Left right. Then the next most important speaker would be the Subwoofer and after that would be surrounds.
