Quick question...can all receivers take decoded true-hd or dts-hdma via hdmi, or is that something that is within the specs of the given receiver or version of HDMI, ala 1.3? For example, would http://www.ecost.com/Detail/Receiver...avid=155438257 this take the decoded audio and pass it through so you would be hearing hd audio or not? Thanks for the help!
EDIT: After browsing the owners manual of said model, it looks like it doesn't take audio via hdmi, so I guess my question is how can you tell if a receiver takes audio via hdmi or not, since it doesn't seem like it's stated anywhere (unless it decodes the codecs already). Also, if you have any suggestions for a cheap receiver that passes audio through via hdmi, that would be great (something other than the 606). Last edited by Intamin; 12-03-2008 at 03:25 AM. |
