Background downloading question - Blu-ray Forum

I thought background downloading worked when you watch a DVD? I am downloading stuff and I put on a music DVD but when I checked back on it- it didn't move at all. I know you it works when you are gaming but not online- why doesnt it work when you are watching a dvd?

I don't know why but it doesn't work while watching a BD or DVD movie.

Not for a while I imagine - as it is, they used latest versions to stop background wireless workings because it was causing the 'freeze' issue on movie playback.

Ah yeah. I heard about that. I guess I would rather have no background downloading over freezing. If I want what I'm downloading that bad-- I'll keep it on something that does download it. Would be convenient- but that's fine.
