Well, I'd say the PQ isn't the best I've seen on BR but it looks damn good. I love the movie so this was an easy purchase for me. The extra scenes are great and there is plenty of gore. I think I'm done with the theater except for large releases.

I thought the transfer was good, not great and an average movie at best-Anyone notice that it was a bit greenish? was it shot this way?

Between this movie and the two pirate movies, Keira may well be set to unseat either Eva Green or Kate Beckensale (pick your favorite) from the thrown as the BD hottie over on the "Hottest Blu-ray gal" thread

I don't know, man. We have a few Lucy Liu flicks coming our way pretty soon!

I feel it looked the way my dvd does and the way it did in the movies, so I think the "green" is just part of it. Thats the problem now, HD looks so good whether it's tv or a movie, we become picky about things that did not matter 5 years ago.

I could not find the King Arthur Blu-Ray at any of the stores in my area, they all told me that it was due to be released Tuesday, but somehow, none of the stores got it, guess I will order it online.

It just amazes me how inept the employees at different electronics and movies stores are, they never seem to know anything about when a new releases are coming out. And most of the stores I have been too, have a really bad selection of Blu-Ray Discs, as well as HD-DVD (if you can even find HD-DVD at all. Part of the reason I think Blu-Ray is killing HD-DVD) Don't even bother with Wal-Mart, I found 2 Blu-Ray titles at my local store, and they had rips in the plastic wrapping, all they had was Babel, and Happy Feet.

I agree, most employees now at these stores do not know much. Whenever I buy something from CCity, I research it online and buy it online then go pick it up. Or I buy it from Amazon.

My Walmart also does suck for BR titles, so I just order 1 every Sunday through Amazon and I get it on Wed or Thu, works for me.

No offense to anyone that works at either, but I feel that (for the most part) BBuy and CCity have become jobs programs.

I watched the King Arthur BD a couple of 'knights' ago . I thought it looked pretty good. I'd give the transfer an A. The sound, referring to the uncompressed PCM 5.1 soundtrack, was an A+, but the actual movie only gets a C+ from me.

I went looking for King Arthur on Tuesday, but neither of my usual stores (Best Buy & Suncoast) had it. When I asked about it at Best Buy the guys in Magnolia were also surprised that they didn't have it, and when they tried to look it up in the inventory system it didn't even show up there. Not sure what was going on with this title and Best Buy, but on my way home I decided to give Walmart a try and they had a lot of copies. Go figure. At $19.99 I imagine I probably saved $5.00 over what I would have paid at BB also. I'll be making it a habit to hit Walmart first from now on.

I thought the transfer looked pretty good which seems to be the norm from Buena Vista now

I am sorry, but am I the only one who thinks this is one of the worst films when it comes to editing? I haven't seen the theatrical cut, but I can't imagine the editing was as bad on that. One of the things that bothers me the most is the way the score is put together for the final battle. Having heard the recording sessions and what was written for that scene, I'd say they really butchered it. Parts of the score just keep repeating and themes are in the wrong places. It bothers the crap out of me.

I'm thinking you take it more serious than I do, I see it as entertainment so it's fine with me. I think it was a great movie. If that movie bothers you, then I imagine about 75% of them out there do.

Actually I like pretty much every single movie I see. However when a movie comes out with a huge epic score from the director of Training Day and Tears of the Sun and from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, I tend to think that you'd be able to take it somewhat serious. But it's not my only complaint about the movie. I also have problems with the weak sound design and effects which this movie deffinately shouldn't have.

I agree 100%. For me movies are mostly just for entertainment, but when it is executed poorly the fun goes away. And this movie has some flaws that (imho) makes it easy to forget.

I finally watched it last night, and the PQ and SQ were as expected

I had never seen the movie before, so I did not know what to expect... At least it was better than "First Knight"
