Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role=

1. Kate Winslet - Revolutionary Road

2. Emily Mortimer - Transsiberian

3. Kristin Scott Thomas - I've Loved You So Long

4. Michelle Williams - Wendy and Lucy

5.Meryl Streep - Doubt

Best Actress in a Supporting Role=

Good list.

Like me, you are an obvious fan of In Bruges. I too would love to see Farrell and Gleeson get nominated, but I fear that will not happen. I see In Bruges getting totally overlooked. There always seems to be a true gem that gets the shaft. Here's hoping it doesn't happen to Bruges.

Ok. I saw Doubt last night in New York City. Meryl Streep will win the Oscar. She gave hands down the performance of a lifetime.

yeah. But so did Kate Winslet and i think it's her year to win. Keep in mind Meryl Streep won 2 Oscars already and Kate Winslet won 0. The Oscars will see it that she wins for her Performances for Revolutionary Road or The Reader. And if she wins it for The Reader Meryl Streep might have a chance. don 't get me wrong i thought she was great but i don't think she will win it this year.
