Default Post Previously Viewed BD finds here!

We have a few store-specific threads regarding previously viewed Blu-Rays already, but I figured that it would be nice to have one master thread so we can let others know what rental titles have come up for sale lately and the prices we've seen.

My local Blockbuster just put up a bunch of Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Hellboy II and Forgetting Sarah Marshall discs up for $19.99

I'm anticipating Wanted showing up within a week or so. I'd like to pick it up, but I want to pay no more than 20 bones for it.

I'm going out to check out a couple of other Blockbusters and Rogers stores in an hour. I'll list any other notable titles I see here.

hey stubblecat, i work at blockbuster and usually the titles go previously viewed 4 weeks or a month after their release date i know wanted only came out 2 weeks ago so ur looking at another 2 weeks min for it to be transfered there. here are some more titles i know we carry for that price: Forbidden Kingdom, The Happening, Fools Gold, Vantage Point, Batman Begins, 10,000BC, 88 Minutes, Pirates of the Carribbean: Black Pearl. We also got (Drillbit Taylor & The Eye for 17.99) . I'll update later if i think of anymore.

Hye, thanks for letting us know. It'll be valuable in this thread for you to let us know what titles have moved over to PV.

Here are some that were at a Blockbuster in Kitchener:

-All $19.99-

Forbidden Kingdom
What Happens In Vegas
Jumper
AvP - Requiem
National Treasure 2
Juno
Spiderwick Chronicles
21
Weeds - season 2

-$17.99-

Superman - The Movie
Drillbit Taylor

It should also be pointed out that Blockbuster buys used BDs. They advertise a minimum $10 credit with each title. I assume thet have a standard list of what titles they do and don't take, but I'm going to take my 3 BDs that I can't get rid of (Blue Planet/The Dream Is Alive-IMAX, American Psycho, and The Fifth Element) and see if I can get at least 30 bucks in credit.

The Rogers video stores in my town have almost no BD titles in their previously viewed section. Indy and Iron Man for $21.99 each, plus a few other mediocre titles.

No such luck of me stumbling upon The matrix or The Animatrix...

IMO 19.99 for a PV Blu-ray is not a deal really. Even if the thing only came out a month ago new for 29.99. Rogers tries to sell them at 21.99... c'mon.

i fail to see how 33% off is not a deal? i have waited for PV Blu-Rays such as: Incredible Hulk, Kung Fu Panda, and Indiana Jones, I saved roughly $30, oh wait...that's the price of a brand new blu ray. hmmm...not a deal really you say?

I buy one Blu-ray a week..at a $10 savings, that's $520 a year. Sounds good to me.

Even when standard DVDs were 24.99, you would have paid 16 or so for a PV DVD? No way ova here. I have picked up about 5 pre-viewed Blu discs so far and all have been 12.99 - 16.99 which I find much better.

One of the BBV in downtown Toronto, at Spadina and Queen, does not appear to have any previously viewed blu-rays. Does anyone know if the other locations near downtown do have them?

i agree, 19.99 is a great deal on blurays. i dont see myself paying as much as 35bucks after tax for 1 movie when i can get 2 if i throw in another 5.

I just don't get how some places are opening up the Matrix box sets and renting them for a short while before selling them off. I wish some place around here would start doing that...

You lucky duck.

Checked out another Blockbuster here in Kitchener and they have the same pile that every other store has.

So what do we reckon will be the next wave of titles to slide over to PV?

I'm guessing before Christmas we'll see copies of
Kung Fu Panda
SW - Clone Wars
Hellboy 2
Tropic Thunder
Wall-E

But I think all of those copies will disappear very quickly. They're pretty much A-list titles for the most part.

And by the end of the month we'll probably see
Southland Tales
Fred Claus
Hancock
Jarhead
(probably not many)
The Kingdom
Meet Dave
Superman - Doomsday
(again, not many)
Lucky Number Slevin

And sometime in early January we'll get Wanted and X-Files - I Want To Believe.

Keep posting your finds!

Anybody got a Jumbo Video near them? I don't know their BD status, but they used to be a good source of PV videos and DVDs back in the old days.
