New satellite installation question - Blu-ray Forum

I have Dish Network at my apartment, and am going to be moving to a house I just bought next month. The house does not have a satellite dish currently. How do they normally handle installation? Im going to need several cable outlets that aren't already in the wall, im guessing Ill have to handle that myself. Also, I only have one reciever, but in the house I will need another for another room, do they usually offer a free upgrade for this? Thanks in advance

They will typically just run the cables through external walls and drill through the walls and run the cable in. Some will install a face plate over it and some won't. If you want the outlets on internal walls..... you'll probably have to just get the guy to run the cables into the attic and then fish them down the walls yourself. You can pretty much get as many cables run as you need, they have 5 & 8 cable multi-switches and I THINK they can even use more than one multiswitch if they have to.

^^^ that is what they did when I moved, but he ran them under the house, took the guy about 2 hours...
1 thing they will have you sign a new contract 1 or 2 years or they charge you like $150+ for installing the cables & dish.
