Samsung BDP2500: fan noise

Question for Samsung BDP2500 owners -- if that's not you, please don't reply.

How loud is your fan? Sitting 6' from my player I find the background noise coming from the player to be annoying. I think it's the fan and it emits a hum that is audible during quiet movie passages. It's not horrible but I'm finding it annoying.

[Note, I'm not talking about when loading/playing discs. I stream a lot of Netflix movies so that's when I tend to notice it most and it's about as noisy then as when it's sitting there idle].

The retailer I bought it from will exchange it but I'll have to drive over there and if they are all this way, it's not worth the hassle. I e-mailed Samsung and they told me to call their 1800# which of course was in India and they were totally useless. If anyone from Samsung reads this, your first line tech support is a lesson in why outsourcing is a bad idea
