I have an Acer with Blu-Ray drive and HDMI & DVI out. I can view the TV(HDMI) and monitior(DVI) at the same time no problem. But, when I try to watch a Blu-Ray (with TotalMedia Theatre) I get no audio on the TV. I also have to unplug the monitor DVI cable before launching the disk or it wont work on the TV. My plan to avoid buying a separate Blu-Ray player for the TV is becoming very complicated. Any ideas?

#1 only use one display at a time. HDCP gets upset if you try to use two or more displays when playing a Blu-ray.
#2 see if there are any settings currently, or that happen to appear when a TV is connected via HDMI(my VAIOs show only the laptop display until a HDMI is connected to a HDTV - then there are more buttons to push/click). Make sure HMDI Audio is enabled when a TV is connected. Things change when a HDTV is connected and a Blu-ray is running... |
