Default PS3 Display issues

I did several searches and came up with nothing. I have a PS3 and I have it hooked up to my Sony 60A3000 and it works perfectly with HDMI. Now when I took my PS3 to my friend's house with a Sony 32S2000 LCD TV it doesn't work. I mean it work but doesn't. The menu shows fine and everything but when I tried to play movies it flicker. I even went down to 480 and remove the Super white and everything very basic. Nothing works. Well now I took it over to my sister's house with a Sony Wega something. It does the same thing. HDMI tried 1080i, 720p, and 480 and nothing!! Just flickers like crazy when I tried playing movies but downloaded trailers works. What gives? I even got the new firmware for the PS3

its actually under video settings. I have a question - recently when I am playing a game or watching a movie, my display goes to white noise for a second and then back to the movie or game. It happens periodocally - when it does this the audio still plays normal during the sec or 2 of white noise. I have it hooked up with HDMI and have tried a new hdmi cable also which didnt fix the issue. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

I get the same thing except my screen turns black instead of white noise. I don't think it's necessarily a problem with the PS3 though, because I get the same thing with my cable box. If you find a solution, please let me know!

This is caused by an abrupt end of a HDTV feed by the PS3 as it goes from XMB to game/video or back again. It's like you're reading the last word on a page then you have to shift your eye to the next page or turn the page. It's normal.
