The Last Legion Blu-ray

The Last Legion Blu-ray Review

The Last Legion is released on Blu-ray on the 19th. That is this Tuesday.
Looks like it may be pretty good.

http://www.lastlegion-movie.com/trailer.html

Two questions:
First, has anyone seen this movie If so, was it any good??

Second, does anyone have an interest in this Blu Ray coming this Tuesday the 6th.

I have seen it. It's pretty much worthless in my book... but I am just one man with an opinion. No interest in picking it up. Just go watch King Arthur... it's pretty much that but with a worse story line and crappy writing.

I've seen it and all I have to say it's pure turd of a movie, Ashwari should stick with Bollywood movies and prevent further embarrassment upon herself.

"The Last Legion" listed on Amazon is actually an import release from Denmark. If it has any extras, they most likely will be PAL and won't work on US players. Just a heads up.

Does not sound very encouraging so far.

Has anyone else seen this movie and would like to make a comment.

This movie was complete suckage. Ben Kingsley should be forced to surrender his Oscar for all the utter crap he's been starring in lately.

I think you might be thinking of Legion a movie about the battle between a fallen Angel and Angels sent by God to destroy mankind. That movie is more in line with Constantine. The Last Legion I believe, concerns Rome's last days in Britain.

contrary to other comments made on this thread i did enjoyed this movie concerning the end of the roman empire, excalibur and king arthur england a great deal. COLIN FIRTH is very good and sometime even funny as a roman general and AISHWARYA RAI is very beautiful, physical and strong as a great master warrior helping him and his band of warriors to protect the last ceasar. unfortunately my only problem with this movie was the bad casting of BEN KINGLEY as the wizard merlin (he simply did'nt look the part) other than that it's a great story and the fight scene are all well done. as far as movie goes i've seen much worse than this one, i already own this movie on dvd and i will own the blu-ray if i ever put my hand on it someday.

According to my rep at Vivendi, the Blu-ray of The Last Legion has been withdrawn. I'll post here again if I hear anything else.

Looks like a remake of a remake of a remake. LOL Right now the two shows that did justice to this story line was Pillars of the Earth and now Camelot on Starz. Acting excellent, story line very good.

I rented The Last Legion back in early 2009 on DVD and was not impressed. Firth has definitely done more impressive stuff.

Yes, I know it was historically inaccurate, but I enjoyed it. I have it on pre-order.

Our PR firm contact for Vivendi was mistaken--BD is out, review should be up tomorrow.

This..... this movie was incredibly terrible. Looked like it was a DTV movie, or something that'd air on tv. And the fight choreography, if you can even call it that, looked like it was done by a 6 year old.
