Monster Cable HT 700 Clean Power HT700 Surge Protector Buzzing??? - Blu-ray Forum

My surge protector/power outlet quit on me while watching a blu-ray today. The power button was still on...it was buzzing.....and the outlet casing was rather warm. I used the reset button...waited few hours...still not working and buzzing. I figured it was done for. I was wondering if anyone knew the warranty information on this and if they have had this problem on monster power outlets (I've had the outlet strip about 2 years...I know there is a 5 year warranty on if electronics are ruined with it..)? I bought an early birthday present to myself for $120 using friend's employee discount on the Monster Power HDP 2500...figured for that price can't pass that up.

Did you ever find out what the issue is? I have a Monster surge protector that has just started buzzing but so far, everything is still working. Mine is also the HT700. I did a google search and surprisingly ended up back here.

Just to follow-up on this. I sent them e-mail saying mine started buzzing recently and they told me to call and ask for a return authorization. So, even though mine seems to still be working, the buzzing must mean something is wrong.
