France La Gloire de mon Père/Le Château de ma Mère [FR]

I just saw it on Amazon.fr yesterday. I used to love these movies... might pick this up.

It's on two discs in case someone wonders.

I've seen these movies on TV. Nice stuff based on books by a famous French writer.

I have this and its actually 1 BD disc with both movies. The other disc is the extra features which is a standard PAL region locked DVD.

Ahh that blows...

How's the quality on each movie? Oh and what's the Audio selection like?

-Video:mpeg 4/AVC 1.85
-Audio: DTS-HD
-Subs: French for hearing impaired ( no english)

I haven't watched the films yet but I did take a quick look. I noticed quite a bit of noise in dark passages. Exterior shots fared better. A fairly average transfer I would say based on my brief look.

yep, I confirm too that both movies are on 1BD,
about PQ & AQ, I was a bit disappointed but considering movie's age it s quite ok (grain and important noise during darker scenes). but like posted above, exterior shots are fine enough to dive into this magnific movie. I remember me watching this movie at theater a long long time ago...

although I ve never seen it on sdvd,I imagine that this bd is still above, at least I hope so..

Yeah that's the part I'm most interested in, just knowing if it's worth getting the BD when the DVDs are probably cheap as.
