The DBZ Blu quality is a big step up from the dvd.

But not better than the likes of cars or ratatouille.

Still if your a fan i would suggest buying.

I followed DB & DBZ watched the start of DBGT but then for some reason didnt finish. I prefer DBZ

Theres some user reviews here aswell:

Checked funimation.com and they have released quite a few titles on blu-ray already it seems, hope I can get a full hd trailer somewhere so I can see for myself how it looks now.
Dont really like the first movies though, and thats pretty much all they have.

I have most of the Dragon Ball Z stuff on BD so far and it looks pretty good. Definitely much better than DVD, but the picture is certainly a ways off from perfect.

I believe some of the movies were transferred from non-masters, too. If I recall, they have changeover cues in them.

:|

But they still look good. Kinda sad that they couldn't fix the frames with the cues though, since the whole thing was run through a remastering system. I'd definitely recommend them anyway for anyone who considers themself a fan. I think they can even be gotten on the cheap in many cases.

edit: actually, I just checked out the review here for Tree of Might/Lord Slug, and it says that there are cue marks for sure in the frame. A disappointment, no doubt, but I'd wager the DVDs have them there as well.

Any official word on when the seasons will make it to Blu? I have held off buying the remastered seasons on dvd till the blu versions come out. I figure it might not be for a while.
