Default Salamander audio rack?

Hello all. I am having issues with my system set-up, and the problem is placement. My apartment has a built in tv nook with an underneath closed in cabinet. Should I use the cabinet for my gear or should I get a Salamander audio rack instead and used the cabinet for storage of extra audio/video crap? The deal is that it's difficult to get behind the components to un-hook and hook-up cables, and it gets warm under the cabinet even with the doors open. I could add fans I guess. What do you guys think? Take a look at my set-up in the HT gallery for your input. By the way, I will be adding an Emotiva 7-channel amp and a new Onkyo 706 to use as a pre-amp. I was thinking about putting the Salamander in the spot that my blu-ray rack sits in now.
