Well, The Dark Knight is the Blu-ray Disc Title of the Year IMO. However, I am not too disappointed because Disney did a fantastic job with Sleeping Beauty.

Hmm. Great disc no doubt, but doesn't reflect my personal choice for BD of the year.

I think it's a great choice, Disney did a wonderful job with this release, PQ is quite stunning for something that was originaly done 50 years ago.

i disagree that the Dark Knight is the title of the year....I think the special features of the disc were lacking wheres SB had tons, everything you can imagine.......the video of both titles were perfect but I would give the edge to sleeping beauty....and the same with the audio.....THe Sleeping Beauty set was perfect in every shape and form

I see your point. I never considered the extras because I could care less. But I realize that there are a lot of people who like the extras and so maybe you are right. All I know, as for the movie itself, there is no beating The Dark Knight in 08. The movie is fantastic and those IMAX scenes are a creative addition to a Blu-ray disk and are really awesome.

But I am not unhappy with the Sleeping Beauty choice...Disney put in a ton of time and a ton of cash to restore this movie for BD in the widescreen format.

I could post reasons for several titles getting that award and have no complaints about SB being chosen.

That is great news. Sleeping Beauty was quite a triumph for Blu-ray, as well as its advancement. Can't wait for Pinocchio in March!

interesting choices for sight, source, and sound....all good ones for sure.

no issues with sleeping beauty winning either...lotta hard work went into that.

I completely agree.

If there was a runner-up it'd be Wall-E and not TDK. Wall-E delivered on the special features impressively.

Completely disagree with music title of the year....Shine a Light???

The mix on that disc was dif to say the least and not in a good way.
