Slumdog on Blu - Blu-ray Forum

I saw Slumdog Millionaire last night and all I can say is wow! That movie was fantastic. I'd have to say The Dark Knight and Slumdog are my 2 favorite movies probably from the last several years.

However, watching Slumdog in the theatre, the colors and the blacks were all washed out, definitely a fry cry from hi-def....I kept thinking I can't wait to see this on Blu-Ray when it allows the colors to really pop!

Not sure how certain the release date is - Australia has since been confirmed as March 3rd, and not Feb 24th as mentioned in the above thread, so maybe Slumdog wont be far off the date mentioned here

Blindness (2008) is due Feb 10, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is due Feb 17, Australia (2008) and Slumdog Millionaire are due Feb 24, Role Models is due Mar 10, Seven Pounds is due Mar 17, Bolt (2008) is due Mar 24, Gigi (1958) moves from a tentative March release to a confirmeed Mar 31 date, along with An American in Paris.

I wonder how they are going to do the subtitles since they are literally all over the image.

Best subtitles I have ever seen, I will be very pissed if they change them to "normal" ones.

Right behind TDK for Best movie of 2008. I thought Slumdog was just overrated before I actually went to the theater and saw it. Amazing, can't wait for the Blu!!!

Back when the Matrix first came out I thought it was overrated... until I saw it and was blown away!

Maybe over-hyped would be a better term....but now I've seen it I can say it is definitely worthy of all the praise!

Amazon.com just told me SDM was available now...for $35.00!!!, WTF? all the other new releases are $29.00 or less. Has anyone seen this for less from another retailer?

its only available on amazon as a pre-order. the latest release date i saw was march 31st according to http://www.releaselists.com/BLURAYNorthAmerica.html

dont know how reliable the info is though since i also saw it due for release on feb 24th.

Idk...I saw it last night and I thought it was mediocre. I gave it a 7. I like Benjamin Button a whole lot better.

was just at blockbuster and they show it releasing on feb 24th....hopefully they will release the blu on the same date. it would be ridiculous if they didnt.

Is there a SDM thread in the movie section? I need someone to explain to me why it was so good. It did nothing for me. HIGHLY overrated.
