Okay, I tried looking in a few threads to find the answer to this, but there are a lot of threads, and I don't know precisely which one might answer my questions.
Okay, so I have a Samsung BD-P2500, and its digital output is selected to Bitstream (Audiophile). It's connected to a Samsung HT-X50 via optical cable, so I know that it's not outputting Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master, but it certainly doesn't sound like old-fashioned 2.0 surround. Do all Blu-Ray discs come with a Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 track, even if it doesn't say so on the packaging, or is the player just outputting it as such? Thanks in advance for any help. -Matt |
