Always glad to see old movies making their way to the format, but there's plenty of movies I'd prefer before On the Waterfront.

Anyone know what the intended aspect ratio is for this?

I own the DVD, which is 4x3.

I've seen it on TCM at 1.85.

4x3 has more info at the top and bottom, 1.85 has more on the sides.

I've always been confused regarding the proper aspect ratio for On The Waterfront.

^Pretty sure OAR for On the Waterfront is 1.85:1.
