www.youchoose.net has started a campaign for buyers to pledge what side they're taking.

to choose your side.

Looks like the campaign recently started so let's set the tone

Why on earth have they used Brown for Blu-ray and Blue for HD-DVD?!

Are they trying to add further confusion?

The problem is, it is asking people to pledge to accept the winner of the vote.

Anyone arriving and seeing their choice behind will naturally be against taking the pledge. So, it will have a tremendous selection effect.

BD should win by a landslide, since it is now almost 2:1 in favour of BD.

I'm afraid it's a case of IT minds rather than marketing minds in charge.
