There was actually a cost to get in? Huh, thought it was free. Becides, I'm also glad everything went well. Little bit of stumbling when Obama took the oath, but didn't really matter.

Now boys, if we're gonna talk about this, don't try and break the rules.

I almost got roped into working crowd control; thank God I didn't. I hate large crowds as it is, and that would have been torture for me.

I'll catch the blips on the news later, that's good enough for me. The news media will still be talking about it a month from now, so I doubt I'll miss a single thing about todays inaguration.

For what it's worth, Barack Obama delivered an excellent speech.

There were 240,000 "official" seats. Those tickets were free for the people who got them..... but many chose to sell them because some were able to get in the neighborhood of 5-10k each for them. Standing in the mall or any other place was free too.

John Roberts messed up the oath.... and Obama didn't hear the correct oath that he was expecting to hear..... which in turn messed him up. They both recovered well though. Obama's speech was wonderful.

I don't know why they would do that for money. I mean, didn't Obama say in his speech something about greed? Although, I'd do the right thing and stay in the seats than buying it off of some scalper, beacuse the inauguration is more important than cold, hard cash.

I guess when push came to shove, the money was more important to his supporters who got the free tickets and then sold them to the supporters who were willing to pay rediculous prices.

Don't get me wrong, I would have sold them too...but I'm not confused in the least about my capitalist leanings

This has been the very best part of all the inaugural happenings so far. It's an awesome performance.... just chilling.

Did Rick Warren mention Jesus in his prayer? What was the fumble Obama made during his oath?

O and was there anything interesting with Obama's choosing to use his middle name Hussein? It seems even now they are referring to him in inauguration festivities as "Barack H. Obama" so I guess he's going to have the initial used even after inauguration maybe.

1. Yes

2. It was a minor stumble. John Roberts messed up the order of the words at the very beginning which caused Obama to stumble as well. They both recovered and finished fine.

3. Obama's arrival was announced as Barrack H Obama. He took the oath as Barrack Hussein Obama.

Yes, and the fumble was John Roberts' fault.

And also, the middle name has nothing to do with "He for we shall not speak of". It was long before that happened and becides, His pather had the same middle name. Its just a little bit contraversial because of "He who we shall not speak of".

Will Bush be writing a book about his time in office? I would definitely want to read that.

Between reading it.... and looking at all of the pretty pictures..... that does sound like a good way to spend 15 minutes. At least it wouldn't be too taxing to read.

I kid..... I kid......

Now, now, don't stray off too far, we know that it'll be a "good" read, but we really need to stick to the rules...unless you're serious about it.
