Just curious....
I don't care about this film, but wondered if "Swing Vote" makes your DTS HD MA (on your receiver) glow?? I saw the back cover art of it today and noticed it has the DTS HD High Resolution Audio logo on it. "Swing Vote" is a Touchstone Pictures release (which is under the Disney umbrella). Disney's "WALL-E" BD back cover art also has the DTS HD High Resolution Audio logo on it, but we know that "WALL-E" plays back in full DTS HD MA. Jodi |

Yes, I am asking if Swing Vote was indeed encoded in DTS HD MA.
Since Walt Disney Pictures itself (Sleeping Beauty, WALL-E, and the upcoming Pinocchio) has decided to go DTS HD MA, the other Disney "umbrella" studios like Touchstone, Miramax, and Dimension Films are a bit murky regarding DTS HD MA. For example, some upcoming "umbrella" release (I can't remember it now) is going to be given the Dolby TruHD treatment, so I wonder if and how far DTS HD MA's penetration via the Disney umbrella is going to go. It is interesting the studio's choice in codecs.
Just when you thought they were going to abandon PCM for TRUEHD on releases like NATIONAL TREASURE 2 and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, they turn around and annouced WALL-E, NARNIA and SWING VOTE with DTSMA then Miramax annouced ROUNDERS with TRUEHD? Maybe different unbrellas under the Disney banner have made different codec choices? |

I doubt it. I think pretty much any disc produced by Disney (which includes Touchstone, Miramax, and all the other companies) will feature DTS-HD MA. I think Rounders was either produced around the time they were using Dolby TrueHD, or else it was a typo and will actually feature DTS-HD MA. Neither of which would surprise me.
