To me there are only 2 choices, the Onkyo 806 and the Pioneer 01, personally, I like Pioneer better, so I would say Pioneer. Have you listened to them?

if you go to thier main site and see the specs, you can compare and see pretty much every detail on whats different. power, connectivity, more hdmi inpputs, video processing, audio processing,.....

The newer Onkyos are not that great. Go with one of your Pioneer choices or the Denon Crackin suggested.
