Default Luckiest Man Alive!!!

Ok. So as some know, I've been on this whole reciever hunt for months. Well, I came across an Onkyo 805 "used like new". I was skeptical, but I knew I just had to give it a shot. It was from amazon, so I could have always returned it if something was wrong. So I ordered it from recomendations from some of the great people on this site. Well I got it today.

Amazon sent me a letter attached to the box. Well I thought it was the invoice, so I opened the Onkyo box, which was oddly in it's original packaging. And inside was a never before opened, components, remote, and RECIEVER. It was unbelievable. A BRAND NEW Onkyo 805. I look at the letter from Amazon. And long story short...we thought you would like a new one rather than a used one. The new one was with the "used - like new shipping facility and decided to move the product out of our inventory. OMG!!! So still skeptical, I hook everything up and it runs like a dream...So far atleast!!! WOW. Thank you Amazon.

Oh and I finally got my movies from them that I ordered five weeks ago. I guess this all makes up for it!!!

Is there a punchline? Something like, "Oh, yeah, my grandfather owns Amazon," or something like that?

Get me the latest lottery numbers while you're on a roll...

No no punch lines. I can post picks with push down cover plate still wrapped in that styrofoam wrap stuff. It was still like...it it's orginal wrapping. Seals, tape weren't even broken!

Thank you to all of you good people who put up with all my random Reciever questions. If it weren't for this site and the great people on the forum, I'd still be frying my system with my old underpowered reciever. Or I would have been ripped off at best. And thank you for all those who told me to just go out on a limp with this purchase.

Less than a new 806. $624 dollars with shipping included minus the y splitter that will come on a later shipment.

I wish I could. It's just so surreal. Here I thought I was going to get some reboxed used, possibly damaged Onkyo 805 and I get an unopened, new one. It's like night and day compared to my old reciever.

Black. I'll post pics. No need to be in disbelieve! I didn't take pics opening it, sorry, I'm not someone who has an unboxing party with their camera everytime I get something new. I can take pics of the box it came it and the front drop down cover which still has the wrapping on it.

Edit: And it's black, but either would have worked for me. It's the 805 afterall right??

Why call him a LIAR?? It could happen. And if he is lying, just makes him a huge loser for doing it... I mean, who really cares? He has a 805, not the best receiver but defitnetly the best reciever for the cost to features/quality ratio.

Here is my story... and call me a liar if you want... BRAND NEW from amazon, $550 shipped last May.

EDIT- To OP. Where the heck are you going to put it? It will OVERHEAT in minutes on it's side tucked in that little dug out thingy where you have your old reciever FYI. The 805 get's HOT!

Oh, do not worry. I'm going to build a temporary stand to place in front of that "hole". It should work out till I move out in a couple months.

My kenwood stayed cool enough to store ice cream in that hole, and that hole was just convenient as that's were I had my CD stereo player way back when I was like nine. Its also were my dad ran all my speaker wire to when he ran it up the wall and through the attic, minus the fronts as I didn't have the M70s when he did it. It just made wiring easier and less of a mess. Should be easy for the next owner of our house, the speaker wire is already ran for you.

I know the 805 gets hot. It smells like "hot" new electronics in my room right now and that baby is running as we speak. I always welcome that smell though. I don't want to fry eggs in my hole. That could get pretty messy.

As for calling me a liar. I could care less. It's there problem and it seems pretty childish for attempting to call me out on it. All that matters is that I have a pretty decent reciever in the price range I could afford as a college kid.
