Default King Of New York worth a blind buy?

Amazon has "The King Of New York" for $11.99,is that a good price for this? How is the PQ and audio? Should I strike and get it! I Liked their blu of Res. Dogs,I've heard mixed reviews about older titles from Lion Gate(Crash comes to mind), I just want to know about this one before I buy it! I have the Special Edtion 2 DVD set,is it worth it to uprgade? I really like this movie

If you have a Sam's Club membership I've seen it in there for $9.88 (prices may vary at yours).

I bought King of New York on dvd as a blind buy, and I did not like this movie. I thought it would be really cool, being that I love gangster movies and Christopher Walken as the mob bad guy sounded awesome. I'd suggest renting it first.

Absolutely. Buy it. It's worth owning so you can watch David Caruso get slammed. I'll be getting this one too.

It wasn't a bad movie in it's day but even back then you could see the film stock they shot with was no great shakes.

EVery film on Blu' looks better than its SDVD counterpart, no question but there are a lot of films that were just badly shot with what appears to be lesser quality film so when compared to other films on Blu' these look terrible but... they always did. Look at Texas Chainsaw Mass'... does it look even close to Casino Royale? Nope! Nor did it on SDVD either. So it's all relative. You can't make a silk purse from a pig's ear despite the better resolution of Blu'.

Haven't seen it on blu yet, but I love the movie..... From what I can tell it's a good budget blu, and a good upgrade from the sub-par DVD transfer.

Great movie....I wouldn't hesitate in buying it if I didn't already own it. Hell, i'd be willing to pay a lot more than that sale price for this movie....go for it.
