Default Polk rm6750 or rm10?

Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to decide between these to Polk speaker systems.

RM10
http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/products/rm10/
No sub, but I’ll get one later

RM6750
http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/products/rm6750/

I need bookshelf/small speakers to fit into my small townhouse.

Both systems about the same price, but I’m trying to decide with is the best option.

Also, I’m saving to get the Onkyo 606, but don’t have it yet.

Any recommendations or thoughts will be a big help.

RM10. You're way better off with the 10" subwoofer versus 8". Trust me...check my sig.

I like the look of the rm10 self and i think in the long run will offer you more of a punch when the soundfield is considered..

All things being equal, the RM10 is the newer line, has slightly better frequency range and apparently a 10" driver on the sub vs. the 8" on the 6750 set. If you can get them for the same price, get the RM10.

Default You'll need a sub but the RM10 is prob. better

I see where some people write the 10" SUB is better, and I have a new PSW10 (well, slightly "used", E-Bay deal) coming any day now, as the 8" sub on my RM6750 set up is pretty good but I want a bit more. On Amazon, the RM10 the Black set is $211, the Pewter is $311 -- both don't (as you noted) show or include a Sub, but the PSW10 is a bit over $100, depending where you go (Amazon, Newegg, E-Bay, etc), so it won't be that much extra $$$ to add.

Good Luck!

** EDIT: The Polk RM6880 system I believe is the same speakers as the RM10's, but with a 10" Sub
("slim-line 65-watt RMS powered subwoofer with 10" driver ") here's the Link, though it doesn't say if it's the PSW10 or a diff. 10" Sub (?). **

Thanks for the advice. Now if I can find a good deal on the 606. Any idea if a new line of Onkyo receivers is coming out soon?
