Wondered if the movie Sideways is going to released on blu-ray? Thanks for any feedback.

Hopefully NEVER! This was one of the worst POS movies I've seen. Why on Earth would anyone want to see a movie about two low-life losers having midlife crises?

I say this all in good humor and with a smile on my face and mean no offense. All a matter of personal taste, for sure. But I hate this movie with passion. All of the raving that was done, and I found it pure torture. I just kept waiting and waiting and waiting for it to be over.

I'm sorry you guys disliked it so much. Hopefully you'll do better jobs avoiding the Blu-ray release then you did avoiding the threads about the Blu-ray release!

I would like to see it come to Blu-ray, as well. It's Fox, so it could happen. Especially if Fox holds true to their 100 catalog titles in '08 promise.

I absolutely loved this movie. I don't know if I could justify the upgrade cost though.

Will pick up if eventually comes to Blu. But wouldn't count on it coming anytime soon. They'll be trying to wring every last penny out of JUNO before they remember "Hey, we have other movies people want to see."

loved Sideways. Buy King of California on Blu, its made by the same people. Very good movie also.

Maybe if they blew some stuff up the kiddies would like it more.

I'm not saying the movie was great, but it was watchable in an indie sort of way. I own it on SD.

I think it was too "hollywood" with the wine though. I enjoy wine and it's not that damn dramatic.

I do agree that Merlot drinkers need to be shot.

I really liked it but not enough to buy it on Blu Ray. The picture quality probably won't be all that good. I thought it was hilarious though. Next time I see it I will uncork a bottle of wine, but I am not having any f-ing merlot!

I'd buy it. I love this movie more and more everytime I watch it. It's fun of idiosyncracies that grow on you more and more . . . at least for me. I didn't think it was that great the first time I watched it, but I've since changed my tune.

While I liked the movie, I do not think the picture qaulity will improve that much in hi-def. Saw the movie in high def on HBO and it was pretty grainy and soft. It was improved over the standard DVD but definitely not something that would be eye-popping in high definition...

I also thought it was a good movie, but not one I'll replace with Blu since I don't feel it's a great movie because of visual appeal etc.

I hope more titles will be region free. Certainly with the European Fox DTS Hi-res audio debacle. Then there will be choise for us Europeans.
