Default Australia In Bruges Avoid!!!

The Australian release of In Bruges is encoded in 1080i and taken from a PAL master.

Just a warning to any of those interested in buying it.

How can you know? I thought the Australian blu-ray is yet to be released on March 11th . And I don't think any seller ships so early.

So what's your information based on? Or is my release date information wrong?

There's a Scandinavian release of In Bruges out now which is really nice (despite being in a fat case) and afaik it's region free.

Guys I should clarify I got this on Saturday and played it on my Blu-ray player it was running it 1080i as I could see the interlacing lines, I own the NTSC DVD and I noticed the difference in pitch as if it were sped up like PAL.

Every other blu I have at 1080p has 24p text under the play message when you unpause it, this one did not.

Maybe I got the one off bad blu or maybe not.

If I were a parrot I wouldn't have to worry I could just sit in a cage all day and repeat profanities to people.

This is the disc I am talking about:

And it has recently gone out of stock which now makes me look crazy...oh great.

He's right, you know. It is interlaced video. PQ is fine though- I don't see any problems with it.

Default Definitely 1080i

Yes, this is definitely 1080i, as reported by my Panasonic blu-ray player.
I'll be returning it and I'll pick it up from another region.
Very annoyed, especially as other regions/countries seem to have got 1080p video.
