Click here to check out Fangoria's exclusive look at FX artist Gary J. Tunnicliffe's proposed conception of the direction he'd take the character of Pinhead in the forthcoming second adaptation of the original Clive Barker-story.

I have mixed feelings about this new look. A part of me likes the chaos aspect to it, but then the other part of me likes the old look to the cenobites. Yes, they had a more controled-chaos about them. They looked as if they ran Hell. It was theirs. They are explorers! They are the high priests of Hell.
This one looks as if he is just a tortured soul. We'll see. You know it will also come down to how his voice is. Pinhead has a distinctive voice. I dont care if they got this make-up spot-on. if the voice doesnt fit - know one will even accept this new Pinhead character. That's a fact you can bank on! ![]() |

It hasn't even started production yet -- the above link are just photos of a makeup test that the FX artist has proposed in hopes of getting the job. This is not the for-sure new look -- just a suggestion. |

The point is Hollywood has devolved into movie making by the lowest common denominator. I'm sick to bloody death of the never ending string of sequels and remakes. Here's a thought instead of greenlighting dozens of crappy movies just to keep that revenue stream going, maybe only greenlight a few that are actually good, and original.
That's why movie for movie I'll take something foreign over the typical Hollywood comic book summer blockbuster, get your super sized bat themed 20oz Cola at your local fast foot establishment, and oh that'll be $50 for two people, enjoy your sticky floor, creaky seat, listening to the teens around you yacking through the whole film etc. etc. ad nauseum, experience. |
