Question I would like YOUR opinion on my HT!

I'm 23 and I have only been into HT for a little over 3 years now. This is 1 of 3 HT setups I have in my home. I would like to first get everyone's opinion on my living room HT. I just this week bought the new TV Stand. So I thought it would be a good time to post my 1st complete HT. I would like ANY feedback, advice, and comments. I am new to Blu-Ray.com however I want everyone's HONEST opinion. Thanks.....

Whats in my HT?
1.) 56" Samsung HL-S5687WX 1080p DLP HDTV
2.) Sony Playstation 3 (1st Gen 60 GB w/ Blu-Ray Drive) and Charge Station
3.) Samsung HT-TX72 - 1200W 5.1 Channel Home Theater w/ 5 Disc Upconvertion DVD Player
4.) Samsung SWA-3000 Wireless Module (for Wireless Rear Speakers)
5.) Motorola HD Dual Tuner DVR
6.) Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote
7.) Sony Blu-Ray Remote Control for PS3
8.) Plantronics Pulsar 590E Ultimate Bluetooth Stereo Headset
9.) TechCraft Modena Series BAY6028 TV Stand
10.) 90+ Blu-Ray Discs

Move those games away from the right hand side of your PS3, there is a vent there!

You've got a nice clean setup. Very nice looking and WAAAYYYY better than anything I had at your age. I agree with MadDaddy about moving those games though. Your PS3 vents out through the right side, so that needs to be open.

The only thing I would suggest is to eventually replace your HTiB with a real AV receiver and speaker/subwoofer setup.

Also, if you post some pics in your HT Gallery (to the left, under your avatar) people will be able to go in and leave comments and post a rating if you want them to.

Agreed! Move the movies and PS3 games to a dedicated rack or something. Also move the controllers and head phones somewhere other than right next to the TV. I also would be a little leery on burning candles that close to the TV! You would think it would leave a some kind of residue on the screen as well. I know candles are not my walls/ceilings friends! Constantly leaving a film on the walls.. Anyway, yeah other than that not bad at 23. Pretty much like what I had at that age. Even though I am still only 29 and live alone...

nice setup. nice DLP but I'm not a big fan of DLP's sorry. the speakers are a little small for me I'm old school
BIGGER is better. but if they sound good that's all that matters. like the stand I'm looking at getting a new one.
see what you think of my HT gallery. you can be honest to

Hey, besides me having to be in your home. I have no idea you don't light them, sorry! I can only assume, since they were next to the TV.

Always glad to see someone my same age into the hobby!

Haha! The HT-TX72! I used to have the HT-TX75. Try upgrading the speaker cable to some 14 or 16-AWG wire for some great improvement in the sound quality, especially the subwoofer. Space out the front L/Rs a bit, and toe them a weensy bit into the main listening post. Clear out the space next to the PS3! Like Mac said, there's vents there!

Gorgeous television, and great collection - move the subwoofer forward from the wall a few inches, if I remember correctly, it's rear ported - having it right up to the wall will break it - that vent needs to breathe, having it right up to the wall will rattle the poor driver right out of its enclosure (I did this by mistake back when I had mine a year ago)...

...Good center placement...good stuff, chap. The Harmony One is a great remote, I own one as well, very handy, very handy...

Doesn't look like it would fit in there, height-wise, if you compare it to the rest of the stuff in there...
